Drape, draft, specify: the technical side of how I work.

I work each study directly on the dress form, pinning the cloth along its style lines: bodices, a one-shoulder drape, a cowl, a gathered bodice and a skirt block.

A sculptural mini dress with a hand-pleated body and asymmetric, shell-like volumes on the left hip. High round neckline, fully closed back, fitted silhouette, with embroidered hermit-crab brooches hidden in the folds.
I drew its flats and its specification sheet.

I specified four garments: flats, measurements, fabric and every trim, with where it goes. Open any sheet to read it closely.
An ikat-inspired print, drawn as a repeat unit and printed on fabric. Here it runs as cloth would, one unit measured out against the rest.
